Upcoming New Harvest Moon 2024

The next New Moon will be a ‘Harvest Supermoon’, and what a time to be breaking down old things, and preparing to begin anew! We are in the midst of cleaning out and packing up ahead of our sale of our coastal home… for a move towards mountains in mid-October. At the same time, I continue addressing chronic health issues, and not the least – my goal of assessing and culling practices in my spiritual life.

Some portions of my priestess life need tidying before reinforcing… shoring up strengths, trimming back excess. Other sections are fallow; empty after a year or more of having to prioritize health matters with a limited energy envelope. These places have gaps, but will be fertile ground for fresh growth after the Fall and Winter contemplation. Finally, there are parts of my life (not so much spiritually) that need a true culling ahead of the coming season.

This is, of course, a Harvest moon, so I am hoping it brings us a bounty of good tidings for our work over the Spring and Summer. I am experiencing so much gratitude for the results we’re already witnessing. Another bounty is the number of guests we’ll be getting to host before the equinox. Some much loved folks bringing themselves back to the beach for a time! People have been showing their care and kindness in such generous and heartfelt ways… we have been humbled.

And we cannot forget… a New Moon is a great time for fresh starts, too, regardless of what season they occur in. Wishing everyone a time of fresh harvest goodness!
